The Rainforest Interlude: Between Perspective and Acceptance

Week 5 Bonus Week - Lessons from the Panama Canal Journey

There’s a moment in every journey where you’re suspended between where you’ve been and where you’re going. You’re in the passage—the canal, the threshold, the interlude.

That’s where we are right now.

Last week, we traveled through the Panama Canal and spent time in the lush, impossibly alive rainforests of Costa Rica. What we discovered there wasn’t just beautiful—it was instructive. The rainforest became a teacher, showing us something essential about diversity, resilience, and the kind of acceptance we’re preparing to practice in November.

This week, we’re resting in that teaching. We’re letting the lessons settle. And we’re beginning to understand what radical acceptance really means—not as a concept, but as a practice you can apply in micro-moments throughout your day.
